Workplace Diversity

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!

Revelation 7:9-10

How I long for this day! A day where the worship of Christ has unified all believers into one multitude, one place, and one voice. All focus is centered on the Lamb of God. No more sin. No more sorrow. No more distractions from the joyful worship and glory of Christ. A glorious and joyful day!

This passage is a beautiful picture and reminder that God is the author and creator of diverse nations and cultures, evident by the fact that this beauty will extend into eternity! When we focus on this truth, we begin to realize that our diversity is a glorious display of Creator God. The beauty of God’s perspective on diversity is that when we, as believers, demonstrate unity within and amongst one another, even amidst our varied ethnic, gender, generational, and cultural backgrounds, through the common bond of the gospel, we glorify God and His unifying purpose.  The future day described in this passage is a culmination of God’s gracious hand extended to all people.
